Stemming from our breadth of experience in examining security imagery to establish or not the identity of individuals or items, and the extensive experience of some of our personnel in security systems, Kalagate is able to offer independent and comprehensive advice on the installation of analogue and digital security camera systems that may or may not be linked to other security features.

Imagery systems are costly and it is thus important that they are working at optimum performance. Cameras and other equipment have to be correctly sited and installed and regular maintenance is essential to ensure that systems continue to meet specifications.

While we do not supply equipment, we are able to advise on equipment and provide tests to validate the system once it is installed. The Kalagate seal of approval that digital systems are evidentially acceptable is now much coveted by major companies such as Mitsubishi, Dallmeier and Siemens.

Kalagate is also able to offer a post-installation service, to provide periodic validation of the system throughout its life. The period will vary depending on the type of system involved, but such checks should be conducted on 6 monthly or annual basis as a minimum. Under such arrangements, installation and maintenance companies are required by the system owners to send test recordings to Kalagate for a rigorous ten-point test. If Kalagate rejects the recommendations designed to correct the problems, remedial maintenance has to be done until the system is designated by Kalagate as fit for purpose. Importantly, in most contracts, companies are not paid for installation or maintenance until Kalagate passes the system
